Top FWPD Cop DWI !

The head of internal affairs — the man in charge of investigating wrongdoing by other Fort Worth cops — was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Major Paul Henderson, 45, chief of staff to police chief Jeff Halstead, was pulled over by a DPS officer near Aledo around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

As a Fort Worth personal injury attorney who has been representing the victims of DWI crashes for over 32 years , the fact that 18 Fort Worth police officers have been arrested for DWI since 2008 angers me — and I’m sure you as well.

Why is Texas #1 in DWI deaths? Why do we have 25% more fatalities than California, with 40%

more people? Why do 78,000 Texans have more than three DWI convictions? And why do even police officers drink and drive?

With more injuries and fatalities due to DWIs here, there is a greater need for personal injury attorneys to handle these cases. It is critical to select a board certified lawyer who has a full knowledge of personal injury law and will work with law enforcement to ensure proper investigation of the case.

I hate drunk and/or drugged drivers and I go after them. I am in the process of filing suit against a woman who crashed into my client and her grandson while she was DWI in Bedford, then fled the scene. I I am about to conclude a case against a man who did the same thing in Arlington last year.

If you have been injured or have lost a family member to drunk driving, please call The Law Offices of William K. Berenson. We will do everything in our power to get our clients the money they deserve.

Added on 12-5-12 from Star Telegram report — Henderson has been demoted to captain, his annual pay has been cut from $125,000 to $114,254, and his job duties have been curtailed. The Star Telegram called his arrest “a shameful blow to the Fort Worth police.”
