Fort Worth And Dallas Accidents Caused By Some Of Worst Drivers In The U.S. According To New Study

I now know why I am so busy as an automobile accident attorney: according to a study conducted by Men’s Health Magazine, Dallas drivers are the second worst in the country, with only St. Louis drivers being worse. And following close behind, Fort Worth drivers were #12 worst. Houston and Austin were both in the top 10. So Texas has four cities in the top 12. Be careful out there!

The study looked at the rate of fatal crashes; percentage of fatalities involving alcohol, speeding, or hit-and-run, the rate of seat belt use, laws on cellphone use while driving, and the average number of years between accidents.

Of the 10 Texas cities surveyed, 6 were in the 20 worst list.

Ranking from 1-100 (higher numbers = worse drivers), the 12 worst cities are

  1. St. Louis, MO F 99. Dallas, TX F
  2. Charleston, WV F 97. Houston, TX F
  3. Billings, MT F
  4. Providence, RI F
  5. Columbia, SC F
  6. Durham, NC F
  7. Orlando, FL F 91. Austin, TX F
  8. Tampa, FL F 89. Fort Worth, TX F

I guess this explains why so many innocent Texans call me every day because they have been hurt in wrecks. If you or a loved one has been injured in a car crash, call my office today at 817-885-8000 or fill out this form for a free case evaluation.
