Dallas Crash Kills Man; Driver DWI

Jerry Abraham, 38, faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter in the death of Pramod Paul, 35, of Irving.

Abraham was taken into custody at a local hospital where he is (of course) recovering from his injuries.

The crash happened shortly after a previous accident involving two drivers who were standing outside their vehicles on the shoulder. A third vehicle traveling at high speed then plowed into the pickup and car involved in the earlier crash.

I recently filed suit in a very similar case against a drunk driver, his parents, and the company that owned the vehicle. There four people were standing outside of a vehicle were tragically killed and several others were injured. My young client is still in critical condition four months later. More info about the Burleson wreck is here.

In the Dallas case, one man managed to jump out of the way, but the second driver was pinned and died at the scene. It’s unclear if the third driver was injured.

Westbound LBJ was closed from the time of the crash at 2:30 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. this morning.

As a Dallas Fort Worth personal injury lawyer, it is important that the victim’s surviving family members pursue legal representation to ensure that the final expenses for Mr. Paul, as well as all of the medical bills for the surviving victims, are not paid for out-of-pocket.
